The Star in Frisco, TX, brand-new world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, is much more than corporate offices and a practice facility. This posh campus features a state-of-the art training area for the team and a 12,000 seat multi-use events center for indoor practice, high school football games, and much more. The property also includes a luxury hotel, restaurants, and retail space, with stunning tributes to the history of “America’s Team” at every turn. It is sure to be another popular destination bearing the Cowboys name. As expected, the Star – with four control rooms, three tech areas, three studios, and many, many miles of fiber and coax – includes extensive broadcast and video production systems to support the Cowboys and the facility. Key Code Media, working closely with Cowboys staff, designed and engineered these systems, providing all the new equipment and complete integration services as well. The facility features production switchers, replay and servers from Grass Valley; Evertz for core routing, distribution, signal processing, and multi-view monitoring; Riedel intercom; a tightly engineered Vislink wireless video system enabling coverage throughout the entire campus; and Sony cameras with Canon glass.
